Quickstart
Create an endpoint, point a source at its ingestion URL, and watch the first delivery land. Most integrations are live in under five minutes.
01Create an endpointChoose a provider and copy its unique ingestion URL.02Verify the signatureConfirm every request came from Hooks before trusting it.03Add a destinationForward verified events to your API, queue, or Slack.
Send a test event
POST JSON to your endpoint’s ingestion URL. Hooks stores the event immediately and fans it out to every active destination.
POST /e/whk_9f3k1a
curl -X POST "https://api.hooks.events/in/whk_9f3k1a" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "X-Hooks-Signature: t=1739,v1=8f2c..." \
-d '{"type":"order.created","data":{"id":"ord_1042"}}'const res = await fetch("https://api.hooks.events/in/whk_9f3k1a", {
method: "POST",
headers: {
"Content-Type": "application/json",
"X-Hooks-Signature": signature,
},
body: JSON.stringify(event),
});
const { id, status } = await res.json();import requests
res = requests.post(
"https://api.hooks.events/in/whk_9f3k1a",
json=event,
headers={"X-Hooks-Signature": signature},
timeout=5,
)
print(res.json())202 Accepted · evt_9f3k1a queuedRetries start automatically
The ingestion URL is a secret. Anyone with it can create events, so keep it out of client-side code and public repositories.
