Payload templates
Reshape an event before it reaches a destination without writing a proxy. Templates are evaluated per delivery and can mix event fields, headers, and constants.

{{event.id}} | Unique event ID. |
{{event.type}} | Event type reported by the source. |
{{event.data}} | The decoded JSON payload. |
{{delivery.id}} | Delivery ID, safe to use as an idempotency key. |
{{headers.x-github-event}} | Header value from the original request. |
Missing variables resolve to an empty string. Use a test event before enabling a template in production.
